One night after dinner, we drove around and found a public beach where you could park and then take a walking trail to a lighthouse. We thought we'd give it a try and see where the trail led us.....
It led us to an old lighthouse and then out onto a beautiful public beach FULL of shells!
We could have stayed there forever collecting (and for the boys, throwing, ahem!) shells! The shells at Sanibel are crazy-awesome!
The fun thing about going to a new place for a family vacation is exploring and finding new places or restaurants that you like. Even though we were there a week, we felt like there was so much we didn't get to explore or see. I hope we can go back one day!

Agree with Meme!! Love the picture of JM in the turquoise shirt. The one of Noah walking on the beach makes me want to sing the Four Seasons song (not that you probably know it) "Walk like a man" hahaha. He looks like he is struting his stuff on the beach...HA!
