Boredom, Baby Stuff, and Bunco!

Once again, I'm so behind in posting pictures!  The sad part is that it has taken me 3 days to finally get everything uploaded and posted.  I've been pretty tired lately!

We got rained in on Wednesday and we were stuck in the house ALL day!  We were so bored.  It gave me a hint of what's coming for winter.  I'm not looking forward to seeing our warm weather go bye-bye!  I'm always telling Jordan that we need to move to Florida or south Alabama so I can wear flip flops year round.  Ahh....bliss!

Last weekend we went to a park that was ALL sand.  NOT fun.  I hated it, Jack got SO sandy and wet and John Michael was NOT happy with the sand, either!  We won't be going back to that park.  Luckily, Jack got groomed today, so he's nice and cute now!

I don't think he liked the sand on his hands and in his feet!

Next, we headed to Chick-fil-A for some FREE chicken!  We wore our Alabama outfits and got a free chicken sandwich.  I love it when Chick-fil-A runs specials like this.  Who doesn't like a free meal?!

I have laughed so hard over this next picture.  The look on JM's face is so random!  He looks so vicious!

AND...our little bear is going to BE a little bear for Halloween!  I am in love with this costume.  It might be my only Halloween left where I can still dress him to be what I want.  I'm sure by next year he'll want to choose something boyish.  The best part was that I got this outfit for around $8!  YAY!  I had been looking and looking at costumes, but they were all so expensive considering he might wear it for an hour or two, so I was so happy when I found this little bear costume!  I can't wait.

In baby news, I got an email reminder that our changing pad had arrived at Wal-Mart through site-to-store.  I forgot we ordered it!  Besides the furniture, it's our first big "new baby" item.  We're still working on clearing out the office.  LIttle by little, it will get done.  After everything is cleared out, we're going to paint!

And just for fun, here's John Michael being just a little naughty and letting Jack lick all over his cup and hands.  It never seems to end with these two.  And yes, I took the cup away right after this!

Also, last night we had our Sunday School Bunco night at Kacy's house!  It was back to school bunco, but I didn't have any of my old high school shirts up here or yearbooks.  They wouldn't have fit me anyway, I don't think!  We have the best Sunday School class.  I have been so blessed to get to know these ladies over the past year or so.  We always have such a good time when we get together!

All the girls..talking, eating, and getting ready to gamble, Baptist-style!

Here's our neighbor, Julie, who is due in December.  In a few months we will have 4 new babies in our neighborhood.  We know 2 are boys, so we're waiting to see what the next 2 will be.  I think it will be SO cool if we all have little boys!

Happy Weekend.  Maybe I can catch up on sleep this weekend and start feeling better so I can get more pictures uploaded for everyone!

Oh Yeah, Football Time!

We were so excited that Alabama football started this weekend!  Jordan and John Michael were all dressed up on Saturday and ready for the game!  JM got to wear his new UA outfit and he wore his UA hat for a good part of the day.

Roll Tide!  Ready for gameday!

JM and Jordan headed to the square while I got my hair cut.

I know they had some good daddy-son time together and I had some good alone time getting my hair did!

It gets hot out on the square!  JM needed some water!

During the game JM would watch a little, pretended to throw the football, and then go play for a little bit.  He also likes to clap when the crowd cheers!

On a random note; I finally got some flowers from my sweet husband.  I say finally because it only took a few months of hinting around.  I was so surprised when he came home from a halfday of work on Friday afternoon!  They're so pretty and I even put a few on my bedside table to brighten up our room!

This afternoon we took some family pictures in front of the fireplace after church.  John Michael wore his new Alabama outfit that Meme sent him and he looked so precious in it!  And yes, my hair is pretty darn short, but I kinda don't mind it.  With the way my pregnancy hormones are going, it will grow out in a few weeks.  Now, if only I can get it styled the way the hairdresser did.

And, because some of you back home asked, I took a sidways picture and I am being brave enough to post it!  Tomorrow starts 28 weeks and I am blown away by how fast it's going and by how HUGE I'm getting.  It's possible I may only have 10 weeks or so left.  I'm not ready!!!!!!

I'm thinking this baby is going to be b-i-g.  Mark my words.

And....check out our tomato harvest.  We have so many!  Tomorrow I'm making it my personal mission to find homes for all of these tomatoes!  They're so good and we didn't even have to fertilize them or use pesticides.  We're proud of our gardening effort.  Maybe next year we'll have more veggies!

Guess Who?!

Guess who came to eat lunch and play on Monday?!

Wells came over to play with John Michael and they had the best time!  They played and played!

We've been meaning to get these two little guys together for forever!  John Michael shared his toys pretty decently and they just had a blast when they headed outside to the backyard after lunch!

They did all kinds of "little boy" stuff!  They pushed tractors, played with and fought over the little red car, and even played ball with Jackson!

The boys even enjoyed playing with Jackson and throwing his ball.  Bichons really are great with kids!

And Wells just loved throwing the football around!

Oh, what's that on the football?!  Why, it's an Alabama logo!  Roll TIde, Wells!  I seriously hope Mike doesn't kill me!  Football season most definitely is upon us!  Have a happy week, everyone!

The Best Things

A church on our main road has had a sign out for some time now that reads : "The best things in life aren't things."

I couldn't agree more!

Fun Stuff!

It's been a fun week with Mom visiting, even though John Michael was sick for the first half of it!  We haven't been doing too many things.  We've just been hanging around and playing!

We picked Mom up at the airport, and much to my delight, there was a kids play-place.  Although, I do think that this is where JM got sick from, ugh.  He LOVED this play-place!  It had a steering wheel, which was all he needed to see to know he was in love!  He crawled and walked in and out and sat on the big fish and turtle.  It was a big display put on by the Aquarium, so everything was about fish and water!  It was such a great idea for little kids at the airport!

John Michael has taken an interest in helping me clean around the house!  This was one of the questions they asked me at his big check-up, so I figure it's a normal (but cute) developmental milestone.  Just this morning he helped me mop the kitchen and he loves to get the swiffer out whenever he can!

JM also has a new favorite activity.  We brought the glider for the baby's nursery into the den so that Mom could have a comfy chair and now JM plays with it all day!  He loves to rock it and he gets on and off of it.  Mostly, he loves to crawl in it and roll all over it with his legs hanging off.  He's so silly!  The chair does not match my den decor, so we'll see how long it stays!

Another new thing for us was moving up to the bigger kids room for Sunday School.  He's no longer in the nursery, and this was his first Sunday in the big room.  This was the only picture I could get of him!  He was so fascinated by all that was going on behind him that he wouldn't look at me!

He promptly started screaming after this.
