Kitchen Fun

Although Noah isn't techinically crawling YET, he can scoot around, pivot, and generally get to where he wants to go!

Usually, where he wants to go is over to the play kitchen!  He absolutely loves to sit in front of the white doors and open and close them.

And drag out every piece of food that goes with the kitchen!

It's one of his favorite spots in the house!  I know he'll be crawling pretty soon and it's kind of sad but exciting as well!

Hockey, anyone?

A few weeks ago Alabama played Arkansas in....hockey.  Who knew either one of them had a hockey team?  We didn't!  But Jordan found out about it and took the boys to see their first hockey game AND pull for our beloved Crimson Tide, even if it was just hockey!

The rink was really crowded so they found a place to stand, but Matthew refused to let Jordan put him down.  He was a little scared we think.

JM really enjoyed the zamboni  because he loves floor cleaners with a passion, and a zamboni is just a really big floor cleaner!

The boys were super close to the action!  They were right where the Alabama team walked out of the locker room!

Jordan was a really good dad to take the boys to a game out of town so late at night by himself!  I know he wanted to make some fun memories with them.  We've been playing a lot of "hockey" on our hardwood floor lately!  I know they enjoyed being with their daddy!

Valentine's....just a little late!

As usual, I'm way behind on my blogging!  I'm just so tired at night once we finally get everyone down for the night that I generally just can't even think about working on the blog.  I want to make time though, because I love writing down what all is going on with our house full of little boys!  I'll start with Valentine's Day!

The day before Valentine's Day it snowed and the boys were super excited to get outside in it!  I bundled them up nice and warm and sent them on their merry way!  Can you tell I still don't have my Canon camera fixed?  These pictures just look so grainy!

They had a really fun time and played pretty hard.  They played on their swing set and slid down the slide in the snow!  When they came in I had hot chocolate waiting on them!

Noah and I watched from inside where it was warm!

The next morning we started Valentine's Day out by having sweet heart-shaped cinnamon buns.

And the boys had little butterfly Valentines from mommy and daddy.  I made these for their preschool classmates as well.

And for lunch I made everything heart shaped!  I'm sure they really cared, but I thought it was cute and I hope I made some fun memories with them.  They're my sweet valentines!

Jordan and I didn't do anything special for Valentine's evening.  Jordan ran out and grabbed us some take out and we watched a RedBox movie.  I'm not being un-romantic, but Valentine's just isn't a big deal for us usually!  Especially after having kids, we'd just prefer a nice, quiet evening at home talking!  Overall, it was a fun day!

Sports and A Safari

I accidentally broke our nice Canon camera, so I've been taking pictures with our older Kodak.  I'm so behind on getting some picture on the blog (as usual) so I'm just going through some leftover pictures from January so I'll have something to post.

We had some at-home sick days in January so we made the most of it by playing all kinds of games!  We made a race track out of blocks,

And Matthew made up a fun game of "basketball" by putting a spoon into a doorway!

We thought that was pretty creative!

Have I mentioned he really likes sports?

And since all these pictures are from January, I thought I'd include a few pictures from our outing to the drive through safari!  We just LOVE that place!  We've found that it's best to go super early in the morning because most of the animals are out!

I just have a thing for these buffalo!  I love them.  I love that we can drive right up beside them and just sit and watch them.  They are mighty!

So I think that's got me caught up from January at least!  I hope to get a new lens (ouch!) for our Canon so I can resume taking pictures of our daily lives!

Boys, Boys, Boys

All 3 boys had on cute Alabama shirts last weekend when Alabama played Arkansas in basketball.  We couldn't get Matthew to get anywhere NEAR the camera for a picture!  We tried, but he just wasn't having it.

I wanted a picture with all 3 boys all loving on each other and looking happy.  That didn't happen.  Either way, they both really love Noah so much.  It's been very sweet to see them love on him, rub his head, and talk to him and make him laugh.  Just this morning, John Michael said, whoah, he's getting SOO big! Usually he says, "Oh, isn't he SOOO cute?!"

When I picked the boys up from school this afternoon they both immediately wanted Noah and when I went to Matthew's room to pick him up, he immediately said "whoah-wah" and wanted Noah!

They love their baby brother so much!  I took all 3 boys to look at a mattress for JM and he told the salesman, "This is my baby brother, Noah!"  It makes me smile!  I'm so glad they like him, love on him with hugs and kisses (usually that's the case, we do have to watch Matthew because sometimes he likes to sort of push Noah over when he's in a sitting position!) and pet his head.

We know they'll always be brothers, but we hope they'll always be friends!

Matthew is being a bit shy lately!  Especially with the camera.  That's all right though because he's talking up a storm lately.  He repeats every single thing that JM says! It's so fun to see their vocabulary grow around this age!

Mainly this post was just to write down a few fun things about the boys so I wouldn't forget.

-When Jordan was washing everyone's hair during bathtime the other night, JM said "Whoah, my hair was really thirsty!"

-He has declared he wants to be a baby doctor and help babies one day.  He calls himself 1 of 2 names: Dr. Coco or Dr. John Michael.

-JM started church choir 2 weeks ago and he is really enjoying it.  He can sing quite well (I think at least?!) and can usually hit notes right on tune.  Lately, he just walks around and makes up songs about things he sees or does during the day.  It makes me laugh when he does it!

-JM also started a boys gymnastics class on Thursdays and it is so cool!  They do some really fun stuff and he really likes it!

-I had a really proud moment with John Michael last Sunday as I was presented with an opportunity to start truly sharing about Jesus, what he's about, how he comes to live in your heart, and explaining (a bit) about Heaven.  I thank God I can be here during the day to plant those small seeds and cultivate knowledge, as well as a passion hopefully, for the Lord.  We've had a few of those fun, random moments and it makes my heart happy!

Matthew:

-Strong, mad sports skills, but still likes some snuggle time at nap and bedtime.  He is definitely NOT our singer, but we sing Jesus Loves Me and he likes to finish up the verse with "the Bible tells me SOAP!"

-As usual, Matthew attemps to make a game out of most things in life....he loves to get anything and make it into a golf club or a baseball bat.  This pretty much happens all day long at our house.  He's a very coordinated little guy and can hit balls and catch them with ease.

-He can easily say 5 word sentences and misses his Bubba when he's away from him.

Goodness, they're all so sweet!  We have our moments of icky behavior and issues with them not minding us completely when we ask, but they really are such good, sweet little boys!  I'm blessed for sure.  I'll do a Noah update soon!  He's doing so many things lately!
